Verger de l'Etoile
is a dramatic residence, set in an oasis of palms in
the fashionable area of La Palmerie on the edge of Marrakech.
This magnificent house has a large cool garden, with
a sensational pool area, a tennis court and views of
the Atlas Mountains. Attentive staff and outstanding
service make this one of the most luxurious and romantic
houses in Morocco.
This intriguing property, designed by a top French
architect (in close liaison with the artistic owners)
is set in an exotic garden of roses, palms, olives
and apricots. The house has two residences, Riad House
and the Doll's house, linked by a large airy sitting-room
and a beautiful mosaic swimming pool. Verger de l'Etoile
Filante can be rented for one large party of up to
15 people or by a smaller group wishing to occupy
either residence. (The two houses are never let at
the same time to different parties.) In addition to
the individually themed en-suite bedrooms (Bonsai,
Nursery, Tantra and Jungle),
each
residence contains a thrilling combination of salons,
grottoes, stairways, balconies and hide-aways.
The staff is amongst the very best in Morocco. The
full-time Moroccan chef and pastry cook produce a
vast array of culinary delights; from sumptuous dinners
of international cuisine to the wholesome delights
of home-made bread, full course vegetarian meals and,
for health-conscious guests, exotic fruit, muesli,
yoghurt and honey for breakfast. Lingering meals can
be taken out of doors or,
in true Moroccan style, on cushions in one of the
sitting rooms. The maids, who love children, attend
to your every whim and the resident caretaker ensures
complete privacy and security. "Jamila"
the friendly house camel can be ridden by children.
Peaceful days can be spent at the mosaic pool or can
be combined with sight-seeing trips into Marrakech
and its magical souk. Day trips to the beaches around
Essauria can easily be arranged. The town is famous
for its fresh seafood and most forms of watersport
are available. The Atlas Mountains are an hour's drive
away and the House Manager / Concierge can arrange
trips to the deep south, with an overnight stay in
a Bedouin tent in the desert, an out of this world
experience.
